Township Requirements to Close a Home Sale in ​Long Hill, NJ

The Township requires the seller to bring one document to your home closing when you are selling your home.
  • Fire Inspection - You must include a check to apply for an Inspection to receive a Certification of Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Compliance from the Township Fire Official. You may download this document from home and return in person or mail. 
  • A check for open construction permits will be done as part of the Fire Safety Inspection process.
